Key Responsibilities include:
– Design of Internal devices related to distillation columns, absorbers, and strippers, adsorbers, separators, reactors and Liquid-Liquid extraction towers (e.g. tray, packing, Inlet device, distributor, demister, Coalescer)
– Internal devices hydraulic calculation
– Perform economic and technical assessments in sectors like chemical, petroleum, and food processing.
– Research and innovate in chemical engineering processes, materials, reactions for improvement, and conducting process configuration and optimization studies.
– Analyze chemical process technologies, equipment, and establish production guidelines.
– Design, test, and implement plants and equipment for chemical processing, including line sizing, hydraulics, equipment sizing, Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) sizing, Pump calculation
– Manage the building or updates of pilot plants and production facilities, ensuring their efficient operation and maintenance.
– Develop technical and commercial proposals, Datasheets, Process Flow Diagram (PFD),Hookup and Material Takeoff (H&Ms), and Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&IDs), and lead quality assurance and procedure programs to maintain standards for materials, products, and waste management.
– Interface with the client to develop a project scope including working at site, and draft and assess contracts for industrial projects, focusing on the chemical process elements.
– Guide and oversee the work of technicians, technologists, and fellow engineers, and participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data from suppliers
– Potentially engage in managerial roles, developing policies for safe chemical handling, environmental safeguarding, and standards for consumer goods.
Requirements:
Enough knowledge in international standards and design practices (API, ASME, ASTM, ANSI, NFPA, NACE, TEMA)
